New to lyme, I backed my way into it because I heard that lyme has toxins that are sodium channel agonists and therefore excitotoxins. I have had a long issue with insomnia early waking and dermatillomania and trichillomania and erythrina Mulungu helped a lot leading me to believe my problem is with excitotoxicity. Also adaptogens help me and saponins from adaptogens kill many bacteria including spirochetes. Also I tend to be very staticy, charging things I touch, so I assume this is caused by hyperactive sodium channels. So I have narrowed my culprit down to some bacteria either gram positive (since saponins kill gram positive) or spirochete which releases toxins that activate sodium channels. Any other possible culprits or is it most likely lyme? I live in a desert so no ticks but I assume I got it in utero since I have had these types of problems since birth.
