Hi, I have been taking Lugol's Iodine for about 1 year now. I am taking 50mg (8 drops 5%) daily. Just went to my doctor's office for check up.
Blood test reveals TSH- 3rd generation 12.92 ; Last year it was 2.81. My MD says I have hypothyroid. I feel better than I did last year. She is suggesting I stop my Iodine. I don't know what to do, please help. I don't want to stop or start on thyroid meds. I read before starting that TSH value do go up when you start but I have been on the Iodine protocol for almost a year. What to do? Any help will be appreciated.
