Problems worsening with oil pulling like this stem from underlying infections which thrive off of stealing fatty acids from the cells (such as mycoplasmas). Insomnia is especially related to cells not being able to produce serotonin and melatonin due to these infections.

Cleaning then out needs herbs and a balanced approach suitable to the root of the problem. Please see my post below, diabetes and vitamin C.
