I am currently 11 weeks pregnant and prior to getting pregnant, I worked my way up to 30mg of Iodine (Lugol's solution, 2%). Anyways, I'm pregnant now and am unsure of how much to take. I read somewhere that Dr. Brownstein recommended 50mg of Iodine daily for pregnant women, but wanted to see what everyone else does. Please help! I take about 9-10 drops right now which would put me around 22.5-25 mg. what is the real recommended dose during pregnancy and should I be taking more drops than I should? Please help! TIA!
