If the honey helped it is a fungus--doctors never recognize it and the anti fungals from them--it's better to let your lips peel off, they're so toxic.
I used silver gel, and it was gone within a week of determined 'after meals and before bed, after rising' use.
Some of these posters aren't real sufferers, I don't think, so take 'advice' sparingly, especially if they're still suffering but try to guide you to some pharmaceutical bunch of products. I'll only ever say that silver gel, because it healed me.
But some are have allergic reactions to stuff, which could very well cause peeling lip symptoms---but of course, that just couldn't be--we live in such a clean world you know, and a shampoo wouldn't do that! It actually can be anything. But no, just keep licking your lips--which only ever made mine worse. Blah.
I got the silver gel from 'one sliver'. It's clearly owned by the pharmaceutical industry. But as little gel as you need, any toxin they've added shouldn't be too bad. Just don't buy and drink their silver. I bought one bottle and it tastes wrong, not at all like silver homemade.
