This is a hopeless debate. I have better things to do with my time. I don't know if I will post the other stuff I have written to reply to you or not. You and Justin Peters try to prove your view by posting videos of men and women that will smear them and then tell everyone those videos prove word of faith, gifts of the Spirit for today, or whatever is wrong. Most of those videos are taken out of context, cut and paste patch jobs to put the best negative spin on that they can muster. I use the Bible, the Holy Spirit, my personal observations and experiences with God, to help me interpret scripture. I do not look to men or their stupid videos. I do listen to teaching and preaching from videos, but it is examined with scripture and prayer. I do not search the Internet to see if I can tie the person in the video to someone or something that will prove him a false teacher or to smear him in any way.
You think Eddie Hyatt is a false teacher because he said something good about Kenneth Hagin instead of listening to what he was really teaching. Call him out and mark Eddie Hyatt as a false teacher without a thorough examination of what he is really teaching to see if it is biblical. Yes, you are really doing a great work of God in so doing! Not! I examine what he is teaching to see if it is scriptural. I do not care if he likes Hagin or not. You call Kenneth Hagin out because he studied Kenyon. You call Kenyon out because he studied mind science. Yes, Hagin studied Kenyon so much that he is accused of plagiarism. I understand the written work in question was done by his writers who got the information from Hagin's sermons. I'm pretty sure the plagiarism was done in error. Kenyon was a Christian. I've heard he studied mind science. Whether it is true or not I don't know. I don't know if what he studied was any worse that Christians studying Psychology in today's world of Christianity, but what does that have to do with any biblical truths that he was teaching? Before marking Hagin as false it would be a good idea to see if what he is teaching is biblical. I know he is accused of being the father of the false prosperity message. I understand that Hagin was trying to correct those teaching the false prosperity message before he died. They were twisting a message that Hagin taught to come up with a master piece in the world of false teaching called the prosperity message. When Hagin died they really let the false prosperity message rip because of all the money it was bringing it. I get that.
You called Eddie Hyatt out because he said Luther left the Catholic church over a power issue without even listening to the rest of the video to find out what he meant by that. You tried to make out that Eddie Hyatt is so dumb that he didn't even know about the 95 theses. The truth is that Luther originally wanted to preach the truths that he discovered in scripture within the Catholic church. The truth is Luther believed that scripture was the final authority and not the leaders in the Catholic church. The leaders in the Catholic church believed that they were the final authority and not scripture. This caused Martin Luther to leave the Catholic church with his 95 theses to preach the truth to those who would listen. Eddie Hyatt was right. He did not make a major flaw as you posted that you discovered after listening to just two minutes of his video.
You called Eddie Hyatt out because he said the Brownsville revival and the Toronto Blessing were moves of God. You think you have proved this revival to be false because of some videos that you've posted. The problem is the videos were put together to try and make it look bad. I have listened to different videos without the negative spin. I also think the Brownsville revival as well as the Toronto blessing were moves of God. Do you think satan was going to let those go without a fight? No way. Therefore, we have attacks against these revivals. You may not like the fact that some except these as moves of God even though they saw abuses. Well, sorry, satan works anyway he can whether it is abuses that he causes people to do, or if he helps people make videos with negative spins to confuse people of the truth.
Justin calls some ministers faith healers. I don't really see the ministers calling themselves that. The term seems to be used by those like Justin who are trying to make them look bad. I have never even heard ministers that I don't especially care for, like Benny and Copeland, call themselves faith healers. I think they are even aware that they can't heal anyone. Justin is trying to make it appear that they are so stupid that they think they can actually heal. Justin looks pretty excited in the video that you posted, like he really thinks he is proving something. Also, it is obvious that he is showing the clips out of the context of their messages so who knows what they really said.
I believe God wants us to work on developing our faith. Ministers should be preaching the Bible. Yes, they can mention their experiences, but many times the ministers have not yet arrived at what they are preaching themselves. This does not make them fakes or hypocrites. Many ministers get great sermons by preaching to themselves. They know what they need to work on and preach it. Others can identify. My goodness, God would only have a few ministers, if any, if they all had to be perfect. Preaching biblical truths is their job whether it is their experience yet or not. We are all growing. That includes ministers. All ministers have not arrived yet to all biblical truths as far as experience. That should not keep them back from teaching biblical truths. To say a minister is false because he wears glasses and yet preaches that Jesus heals is an amazing attempt to destroy a man and his ministry. Yes, I believe Jesus heals today through the gift of healing as well as laying on of hands and other kinds of prayer. Yes, I wear reading glasses when I read. Oh my, I must really be evil because Jesus has not healed me of every little thing. I must really be a fake. After all, ministers and all of us should only preach to our own level of spiritual achievement and not biblical truths. Is not the job of ministers to teach biblical truths? Should they teach their experiences and what they have personally arrived at only, lest Justin Peters, Vektek and others call them out and mark them as a fakes and wolves?
It amazes me how many of those who are marking ministers as false are walking in major error themselves. God is well pleased. Not!
I am not a big fan of the Copelands either. I have heard Kenneth say too many things that I don't agree with. I still am not going to say the gifts of the Spirit are not for today because I don't agree with some ministers on other things who do believe that the gifts are for today. That's like the people who say all of Christianity is a false religion because Christians are imperfect, hypocrites, full of faults and sin etc. We know there are many people who believe this because they are looking to men and not to God. They just can't get it that people are filled with faults and that includes Christians. That does not make the Christian religion false. People like Justin, you etc. think the gifts of the Spirit are not for today because some of the people and ministers who do believe they are for today are imperfect and have faults. Some even have obvious false beliefs. That does not make Continuationism a false belief. Yet this is how Justin and you try to prove your beliefs. You bring up men and try to find fault with them. You try to tie them to someone who you think has fault to make it look like anything they believe is false. People who walk in the truth of Continuationism are not going to be convinced by such tactics. They will look to the Bible and the Holy Spirit to see if what they are experiencing is truth. People can make all kinds of twisted videos or even truthful videos of men's faults and you can post them until the cows come home, but that is still not going to prove anything. Human beings have many faults. I get that. I don't need any more videos on the subject. I know you and others are trying to mark wolves. I see many of the people on the Internet, who are trying to mark wolves, walking in more error than the Christians they are calling false teachers and wolves. If people want to mark others I think they should start with themselves to make sure they are walking in pure doctrine. Marking people while having eyes full of logs is not smart.
It amazes me how many of the people who are marked by those in ignorance don't even waste their time trying to fight back. They give the battle to God and keep doing what they feel the Lord has called them to do. It's a good thing they do this because if they didn't they would spend all their time fighting ignorant Christians instead of doing what God wants them to do.
I am not going to say that the gifts of the Spirit are not for today because some word of faith ministers get sick and even die. Justin did not make a case for it as hard as he tried. I am now word of faith too. I still get sick. I became word of faith because I want to develop my faith. The Bible tells me that God is pleased with faith. I would like to get to the place where I have great faith. I don't claim to have arrived. I don't know of any ministers who claim that they have it all either. Don't worry, I don't believe in all the things in that article that you posted a while back about what word of faith people are supposed to believe. A lot of word of faith people don't believe it all either. That guy was trying to make all word of faith people look bad, so he made sure he put in all the false beliefs of some who also claim to be word of faith, to make it look like we are all off.
You recently tried to smear Dr. Brown by tying him to word of faith. I listened to him talk about his beliefs on the subject. They line up perfectly with mine. He rejected all the false beliefs that the guy in your posted article used to try to make out that all word of faith people believe that way.
Charles Spurgeon operated in some of the gifts of the Spirit. He would not call them for what they were because he did not believe the gifts of the Spirit were for his time. He was a Cessationist. He did not use his experiences to help him interpret scripture. God did not care about Spurgeon's beliefs. So, in spite of Spurgeon not believing in the gifts, God gave him gifts of the Spirit anyway. I bet God smiled when Spurgeon was giving out those words of knowledge.
Well, Vektek, this has been interesting, but I'm done. I should have known better. Go enjoy smelling the roses or whatever it is your sniffing. I've got other things to do.
