just want to share this..
for a long time (after a healthy build up of course) I was taking 2000 mg's of L-Tyrosine twice a day on an empty stomach with a mild noticeable effect.
But recently, I upped the dosage to 3500 mg's twice a day, which is in the realm of what Dr. Slaegle recommends, and it has been AWESOME!
My conclusion is that I was taking too less for all these years. Geez-o-man, so much money spent and I was taking too small of a dose for all these years!
Just wanted to spead the word in case anyone else is experimenting with this substance for depression, low mood, lack of energy and drive, etc. I use it in conjunction with 5HTP (although I like L-Tryptophan much better) for Depression and they work GREAT. Of course, you need the co-enzymes of B-Complex in your diet as well in order for the aminos to get absorbed. (I like liquid b complex from GNC)
Also, from what I have researched, there are very few (I haven;t found any) reports of toxicity regarding L-Tyrosine and it generally IS NOT abosrbed very well by our bodies.
so please do your own research, of course, but my advice is don't be afraid to continue building it up if you are not feeling any effects. There is a chance that you will some day pass the threshold and proclaim: WOWSERS!!
But proceed with caution and always build up slowly!!!
Sending Light,
Brian
