First of all. We have verified planets orbiting other stars.

He says that convex shaped planets in our solar system can't reflect light. So by his failed logic, they must be giving off their own light, so they are actually wandering stars. If so, I should be able to shine a light on convex egg in the dark and it would be invisible. An egg is also convex and it would be impossible to reflect light back.
