I have read here that taking alpha lipoic acid without following Cutler's protocol is dangerous because it moves metals like mercury across the blood brain barrier.

I think the danger specified is not when the metals move out of the brain, but from the body and into the brain.

There are many reviews on Amazon where people take it following the directions on the bottle and reported success.

My question is how is the protocol safer than the suggested use on the bottle, I hear you have to cut the pills up into 5 pieces and take them every 2 hours or so. Thanks.
