That scripture you keep referring to does not apply to everyone that would ever believe, but to those people in the Apostolic age, that would walk in those gifts.

Mark 16:17
17And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.

But then later Paul rebukes the Corinthians, since they were putting all the focus on the gifts and not even using them as was intended, and within his rebuke, he says they are going to cease or pass away anyway. He would not have said that, if that was not actually going to happen until Jesus comes back. That would have made no sense.

I believe, based on the bible, that the sign gifts have ceased! I have prayed over all this, asked God to guide me on it, and correct me if I'm wrong. I also see group after group, that claims to be walking in these gifts, teaching total lies and leading people away from the true gospel. So that confirms my understanding of the scriptures on these things.

It also makes no sense that if this scripture is true for all believers today, that there is still all these sick people everywhere and that missionaries still have to learn the foreign languages instead of just speaking in tongues, etc.
That scripture doesn't say "this might happen if people will have enough faith, or be obedient, or whatever else". No, it says, these things "WILL" happen. The sick "WILL" recover, not that they "might recover". The believers "WILL" speak in tongues, not they "might". Those verses are a definite not a possibility conditioned on something. And those things did definitely happen in the Apostolic Age! No ifs, ands, or butts, those things most certainly happened just as predicted.
