You may have some stomach irritation with the probiotic capsules, esp if the capsules is made from gelatin (protein, therefore triggering stomach acid production). I'd suggest opening the capsules and using the probiotic powder topically.
Abstaining from sexual activity may add to the healing in my opinion.
