I know this post is very old and chelation research has certainly progressed since. I can understand one's doubts about ANdy Cutler and he certainly has become followed by many as the "expert" in the field, and his protocol as "the only safe way to chelate". What disturbs me most about his protocol is all the problems that are created, for years sometimes. Many have to stop and never finish the protocol, and what does this say about it? His followers seem like die-hard believers though, will argue AC's stance to the death, and refuse to look elsewhere or consider anything else in spite of the grief created by the protocol. I don't understand it. There are many dangers that can come up in chelating, using a more green approach or using ACC, either way. Sometimes, if problems aren't obviously heavy metals, or significant, I'd be tempted to leave well enough alone than take risks and create a host of other health issues on the supposed "road to recovery". Some people read the chelation info and become obsessed with it as a perceived problem. Mind and thought can also provoke ill health as beautifully as it can promote good health. Just something to consider...
I know for certain though that I am not the only one who doubts or questions Andy Cutler as the "go to" chelation expert. I've learned not to argue with his followers because of the cult like loyalty.
