i'm doing a lot better now, i still have inflammation but the peeling has reduced hugely

there's some good derms out there but a lot will just throw strong steroids at the problem and shrug their shoulderrs when they don't work. in my experience the better ones tend to advocate the moisturize + avoid irritation method that you're doing now, plus maybe a mild steroid. seems like you're on the right track anyway, good luck
