The Master-Cleanse works by giving the digestive system a rest so if you alternate with juice while you will be keeping your caloric intake down and getting "some" cleansing you won't be doing the Master-Cleanse and will basically be on a juice fast and not really getting the full cleansing benefits of the MC.

Exercise is the best way to get your metabolism back online after any fast
