The peroxide soak is a very good idea! I will try with ozone water, because it will cost me just the electricity. I pay the peroxide quite expensive.

I see ppl even blending some of the banana rind, I may try that too.
I just checked the website of the Twin Girls farms and they use "organic" copper, sulfur and oils against pest. I believe that the oxygen will take care of the majority of the contamination.
