Glad there is someone else "new" here. I am too. I gather lchf stands for low carbs high fat ??
Sometimes pays to be specific. Wish the f'n doctors would learn that since all they did was to tell me "adjust" my lifestyle. Believe me , I would be dead if I had not already been a practicing naturopath for 15 years. I still needed to search and intensly validate the effectiveness of many hundreds of types of food herbs , supplement "cures". You need to think along the lines of energy storage and waste processes. The diabetes- contrary to medicines best teaching is only secondary to finding the symptoms causes remedies and alleviating them. I know some great diets but basically your cells which are the result of dna rna replication with a byproduct of rna being glycoproteins. ASstounding info , don't you think? I found the dna rna process described at this web http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120821.html site. The glycoprotein info came from a book about medicines history. You can not get much lower on the scale so I don't think anything you eat is going to change the process. dna-rna in glyco-protein out! Food is basically three things carbohydrate ( notice the hydrate -think water) proteins (structure) (mass) and sugars (glyco_x ) some fuel to BURN. That is all foods or energy you get CONSUMING. Like steam loco-motives, burn proteins with sugars water drives the wheels! Simple, so what the f"$#/?? should diabetics eat?
I will write a book -diabetes shopping list. Try grapefruit -prevent infestation of the fungus I have if you fear such a fate. Teas to balance or stabilize is better alternative your blood glucose , cinnamon , moringa, licorice root and Watermelon rind. I use dried real stuff. Very small amount of pills for excess growths. Thanks for hearing me out!
