I hope you are well. It has been a while since we last spoke.

I am about to post my experience with the OJ fast, and subsequent fruitarian diet I experimented with in the summer

I did the fast for 10 days book perfect, then 3 months of fruitarian with an eventual weaning off fruit, 1 meal per week

During the OJ fast, I was often weak and dizzy

Afterwards, on the fruit diet, all was well at first, I had lots of energy

Then, somewhere around 1 month later I began to notice exhaustion creeping up on me

I am privileged to be working with a functional medicine practitioner and have recently gotten bloodwork. I also have my blood work from just before starting all this. I began to seek help after my energy levels plummeted even further from what they had been previously. I also started getting out of breathe, experience weakness, and can barely walk up steps

The results of this experiment, for me, is a severe malnutrition, moderate anemia, low RBC's, low WBC's, low vitamin D, low B12, low folate, and much more. My doctor told me with a serious look on his face, that my vitamin/mineral levels looked like I was coming from a concentration camp.

I respect you very much MH, and I hope my experience is not vilified. You are a kind human being, serving a great purpose with your formulas, and you have given me much personal advice even, and I thank you again. The human experience is highly variable, and what works for one, may not work for another.

I had several other things on the blood test pop up as abnormal, for example my immune system is fighting something, but this is unrelated to my experiment and I was likely suffering from infection long before this summer

I just wanted to post this to update everyone, I hope I am not attacked

I am about to start correcting my deficiencies, and also begin GAPS

Next month, I will be tested for SIBO and others
