Aside from the radiation & chemo bit, which are in themselves both carcinogenic and highly toxic (see Outsmart Your Cancer by Tanya Harter Pierce, et al), I'm largely in agreement. There are much better and safer alternative protocols for cancer out there, but don't expect any GP or MD to know about them, let alone endorse or implement them. They are legally prohibted from doing so.
For the avoidance of doubt, no one is saying that hemorrhoids is the cause. The suggestion is that it is more likely than colon cancer based on his healthy lifestyle and age. That is why I recommended the path lab analysis of his stool sample as a minimum requirement and cheapest option, bearing in mind cost is also an issue for the OP. If he can afford a colonoscopy as well, so much the better.
But be warned - they are expensive, carry their own risks, and the jury is still out on their efficacy:

Granted the second link is a promo video that is also selling a product, but that doesn't necessarily negate the legitimacy of the issues it raises, and Mercola is more or less entirely objective.
In short, it pays to do your own research. Informed consent is a lot safer than blind faith in your MD.
