instantly, but I still had some crusting that I nibbled off so maybe back to completely normal in 2 weeks. your lips are so used to crusting that they may try to keep crusting even though you are moisturizing them with saliva but the crusts should come off easy, just don't leave them on or they will just grow. everybody gets a little peeling but you can just nibble it off. hope im helping.
