Hello, I am totally new here and pretty much know nothing about ozone therapy. I need to find another option for treating myself. I am only 19 years old (soon to be 20), and two summers ago I experienced very intense migraines on a nearly daily basis. I started college and the migraines started to go away but then I got strep throat. I went to the student health center at my school convinced I had strep and they tested me for it and the strip tested negative. Turns out the test was wrong, a few days later I went back hacking up flem and I tested positive for strep. I've had strep a lot of times before so I did not think of anything significant about my infection. I was prescribed Antibiotics and was back around after a week. But something was wrong, I would get very lightheaded while exercising and once the cold hit last year my bones ached and ached. I went to the doctor and they told me the Arthritis was because I was inactive (only inactive because I felt lightheaded and had headaches all the time). I even had a neurologist when I had my migraines and he tested me for different diseases and deficiencies and came up with nothing except some vitamins I should take. I got sick several times and went to a walk in a few times since I was up at college and they came up with nothing except a generic antiobiotic (just for a sore throat and runny nose). In March of last year, I went hiking and my ankle swelled up quite a bit. I thought it may have been from the night before because it was my birthday and I drank a little, I thought maybe I hurt my ankle when I was a little intoxicated and didn't realize until the next morning. My ankle swelled significantly, and it went back down in several days. It wasn't until almost two months later that my foot swelled up again. It was to the point where I was limping around campus and couldn't use my foot to drive. My friend took me to a walk in clinic and I told them there is something seriously wrong with me (something I told every doctor including my primary physician and nobody believed me after tests were done). They tested my blood and told me I was slightly anemic, so I started taking my iron supplement again. They gave me crutches and sent me out the door. It went away after about a week this time. Then, when it swelled up again (two weeks later) I ran a fever in the night. The next morning I was taken to the hospital. They realized my heart rate was over 140 and I had a 103 fever (the woman who took my heart rate thought that there was something wrong with the pulse thing (don't know the official medical term for it). They tested my blood and found out that I had blood borne strep viridans. I had a bicupsid aortic heart valve my whole life and it had never been a problem before. Turns out, that was the site of infection. They put me on iv omoxycillin (I think) until they realized specifically what virus strain I had, then they switched me to penecillin. I had a picc line in my arm at home for the next four weeks and had to plan for surgery. I had to choose between a mechanical valve with life long medication, a tissue valve with multiple reoperations, or the ross procedure which was more risky (higher mortality rate) but I wouldn't need meds or reoperation. My cardiologist (pediatiric cardiologist I planned on staying with until 21) suggested I go to CHOP for my surgery since it is obviously a top notch hospital and she knows a lot of the surgeons and cardiologists over there. I was given two options, tissue or mechanical. I hated the idea of my life being dependent upon a medication (warfarin), especially one that interacts with EVERYTHING. I was set on getting a tissue valve until the morning of my surgery my whole family and even my surgeon were uneasy about my decision. So, I went with a mechanical heart valve, and I regret it. Two days after my surgery, I experienced rigors (the shakes) and had a fever again. I was moved back to ICU and it turned out my infection never went away, it just went dormant. So I had a picc line back in my arm when I left and I had to continue the course of Antibiotics for six weeks this time. So here I am six months later after my surgery and I hate that I can't take certain supplements or foods I used to consume when I was a health nut in high school. Winter is rolling around again, and I am feeling some arthritic pain, not sure if I'm going to have it forever but I know ozone can help. I also know that ozone can kill blood borne bacteria, so to prevent something like this from ever happening again or being in pain for the rest of my life I want to invest in self-administering ozone. I do not know if ozone interacts with warfarin but I am aware that it prevents thrombotic events (why I need to take warfarin) so I am wondering if someone knows if there is an interaction. If I can't find an answer I am willing to subject myself as a human guinea pig, I know this sounds incredibly stupid and dangerous but this is not working for me. I can't even go hiking without my bones aching. I am only 19, and I used to cliff dive, extreme longboard, and rock climb. Now it is very dangerous to do those activities when on a blood thinner and I'm battling Depression because I'm living without my old high pace adventurous lifestyle. Living a life constantly aching is not a life I want to live, nor do I want any additional medications. However much it is going to cost I do not care, but I want to start administering ozone as soon as possible despite my tight budget. So does someone have information about self administering and dosage? I was looking into a medical grade ozonator because I want this to be as effective as possible in helping my arthritis, depression, and horrible immune system.
