Refreshed: Seriously people. I wake up this morning to this? I was taking this whole bible study thing seriously. Am I moving too slow on my end to keep your interest up?
Me: And I said I appreciated that. But you had asked me specifically about where the White Throne Judgment would be held, saying that was an important fact before we could go any further in the discussion. In my quick research, I could not find the answer to that, so I was asking you if you could. Then you seemed to be replying to my post about that with the bible study you did, but I still saw no answer to where the White Throne Judgment would be held and so I wanted to point that out, since you had said it was important to go on in the discussion.
Refreshed:I find vektek has stated that she has proven her point and Ed is agreeing that she had an excellent analogy when there was no analogy to be made since I was just sharing where in revelation to read. We haven't even really gotten started and all ready people think it's finished.
Me: The analogy was about the court case and needing an address before the discussion of what the sentence was going to be could be done. Read it again in light of what I just said above. No, no one is saying anything is finished.
Refreshed: If this is the newest fad in studying the bible, then let me off this merry-go-round. What a waste of time.
Me: No new fad, just people that are trying to have a discussion with you, but something is getting lost in translation.
Refreshed: If the truth be known...none of us can claim to be right on this issue until all scripture pertaining to resurrection, lake of fire, judgement day, spirit vs flesh, and other such related items and questions have been studied and answered. You can't just do a search on annihilation and that's it. If not enough facts can be gleamed from the bible to support either opinion, then we will just have to agree to disagree on the subject.
Me: Who says all we have done is do a search on annihilation? That is a huge assumption. I've studied this quite a bit, not just done a search. I'm sure I have a whole lot more to study and learn on it, but I have studied enough along with prayer, to be very sure on my position on hell. Did you study and answer every scripture pertaining to Jesus before you had no doubts he was the savior? I think you might be talking about yourself here. Have you done enough study on hell to be sure of your position? The reason I put the initial post up in this thread is to encourage people to not just accept the traditional view they have always heard, but to study it further for themselves, knowing there is another view that could be the true view.
Refreshed: I have for years tried to get people to study about the 1000 year reign of Christ and no one wanted to go there. What is up with that? That is where the bulk of the info is. I'm starting to think there is more to it than meets the eye for some reason. But that's ok, I'll just keep studying on my own...minus all this.
Me: I know you have asked this a lot. I'm sure there are things I'd like to study that might not gain much interest here too. I disagree with the fact that the bulk of the info is in the 1000 year reign scriptures. I've heard so many different answers to all that. It's one of those eschatology things that can get more difficult to understand. And I still don't see much relevance with the 1000 year reign and the nature of hell (which I thought was the topic) so I saw no need to get into any of that when I admittedly haven't studied that very much.
I don't have much response to the rest of your post there. Maybe Ed will. :)
