Seriously people. I wake up this morning to this? I was taking this whole bible study thing seriously. Am I moving too slow on my end to keep your interest up?
I find vektek has stated that she has proven her point and Ed is agreeing that she had an excellent analogy when there was no analogy to be made since I was just sharing where in revelation to read. We haven't even really gotten started and all ready people think it's finished.
If this is the newest fad in studying the bible, then let me off this merry-go-round. What a waste of time.
If the truth be known...none of us can claim to be right on this issue until all scripture pertaining to resurrection, lake of fire, judgement day, spirit vs flesh, and other such related items and questions have been studied and answered. You can't just do a search on annihilation and that's it. If not enough facts can be gleamed from the bible to support either opinion, then we will just have to agree to disagree on the subject.
I have for years tried to get people to study about the 1000 year reign of Christ and no one wanted to go there. What is up with that? That is where the bulk of the info is. I'm starting to think there is more to it than meets the eye for some reason. But that's ok, I'll just keep studying on my own...minus all this.
Thanks number person for speaking up for me after I retired for the night. I'm not much on being a night owl. It is true this is not a salvation issue and so we debate only to find truth so we will be correct in what we share with others.
Thank you also for understanding what I was saying as well. For when more than one person tries to make you feel that you don't make sense, it makes you feel a little doubtful in your communication skills. If you understood then I guess it's their brain that's not switched to hear both sides of the issue.
Ed claiming I purposely diverted the conversation is not true. I want to make it clear that I was not trying to stop the conversation and confuse the issue. You can read my other posts to see I was trying to get to the bottom of the issue by starting a bible study. To me that doesn't sound like someone who wants to stop or confuse the issue at hand.
False beliefs will only multiply if anyone starts out with a false belief system. If anyone studies cults, they know this...it is just common sense knowledge. Same principle that I shared about the flat earth theory. Would it be good to know for sure...beyond all doubt that the earth is really round? Yes, because that means if it's not, other issues have to be tackled that are false as well. However, since I can't prove or disprove it at this time, I have to stay where I am in my belief about it being a globe, until the Lord shows me the answer. So I feel that is where we are folks. We have only our initial beliefs to stand on. And until the Holy Spirit shows us anything new we didn't already discover, we will just have to be content where we are in our understanding.
