"Yes, I already knew that, however, this was done by the foreknowledge of God. I know there is a lot of controversy and debate about predestination, but the Bible is clear that we were predestined by His foreknowledge. The Bible is clear that God gives man free will to choose to except the free gift of salvation given to mankind by God. No where in the Bible does it state that we are just puppets in the hands of God. Yes, God is sovereign, but this sovereign God chose to give us free will.

"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Romans 8:29(KJV)"."

In 1 Peter 1:20, the word foreknown is the same greek word used in Romans 8:29.

1 Peter 1:20: He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you.

Was Christ foreknown because God looked through time and saw that He had faith and chose God first?
And was Christ to make himself manifest before God could foreknow him before the foundation of the world?

Just some things to think about.

I don't think we are just puppets in the hands of God either.

But the bible does say we become slaves of Christ as believers, which is much better than being a slave to the devil.
