Could you recheck what medicine was suggested. The only fish med I know of which is commonly used is praziquantel.

If it was albendazole, you can buy online from India or Mexico or you can buy Valbazen (albendazole) from a farm/feed store. Buy the oral suspension for cattle or sheep. In U.S., comes in 16.9 ounce size.
