i bought a bunch of dried shredded coconut a while back to try to make coconut milk for cheaper than the canned stuff. i boiled it for a long time then tried to grind it and blend it but its very tough and cooking doesnt seem to break it down much at all. prob need something like a vitamix. then i ate some and not surpringly i couldnt really digest it too well. if i was trying to kill worms or microbes i'd go with the oil instead. its supposed to be like 50% lauric acid (Lauricidin) and almost 10% caprylic acid (antifungal)
