If your suffering from severe anxiety you may need to be on a benzo for awhile until any traumatizing experience has a chance to heal. There is no shame in needing a mood lifter when life has kicked your butt. There are also several herbal things you can try that are less addicting like L-orinthine. Society wants to tell us that we are bad people for needing to take medication, but in all truth isnt it society's judgement of us comtributing to the emotional trauma in the first place?
