You should have started antifungals already and don't stop till you're cured. I am sure a person can get over candida in a year (possibly less) if they are diligent in sticking to diet and being aggressive with antifungals. After 3 months of diet and antifungals, probiotics can be initiated. Then after a couple of weeks on high potency probiotics you can add prebiotics like Galactomune or lactulose. The probiotics and prebiotics will really help your situation since they act on the colon/bowel area where most of the candida lives and where most antifungals have a hard time reaching. But when that area gets sufficiently colonized with good bacteria and they are fed with prebiotics, the environment will change and it will favor the bacteria over the yeast. But you have to wait until after you have been on antifungals and diet for at least 3 months before taking and prebiotics because the bacteria need to get closer to outnumbering the yeast. The antifungals and diet get you closer to healthy balance. The addition of probiotics and prebiotics later on will really push the balance toward good bacteria instead of yeast.
