There are a number of conditions where the combination with mercury--Hg--causes a downward spiral. Hg makes the other problem worse and the other problem makes it more difficult to detox.

Lyme seems to be one of them. My previously good health started to go South around the time I got Lyme. Since I had always been healthy I just assumed I would bounce back.

I didn't. I gradually got worse over 10+ years. I assumed it was due to lasting effects of Lyme.

Treating my doctors like benevolent medical gods did not help either : ( They were either clueless or don't mention possibilities that are not covered by the person's insurance.

However the tip about heavy metals--HMs--came when I broke my leg without any contact while playing badminton with little nieces. There was not collision. I did not trip or slip according to onlookers at the picnic. My leg just snapped like a piece of chalk!

People with a HM problem will virtually always have a list of symptoms, usually including reduced intellectual capacity, mood problems, poor stress tolerance, fatigue, gut issues, food sensitivities , etc. I think my doctor thought I was a hypochondriac.

However, I was not imagining the broken leg and subsequent abnormal bone density test!

I was fortunate and or blessed to come across Dr Mark Hyman. In one of his books he says he went to ten other doctors before someone realized HMs were involved in his very long list of symptoms. He describes them here.

I grew up in the family's renovation construction business where we did custom renovatons to old mansions along with decorators, etc. I can't tell you how many times I worked on old lead painted moldings. I did this going back to Summers during teen years through grad school.

By then I was starting to get sick and never worked in the field related to my degrees. I just continued to work in construction. I was too fogged out to do white collar work.

I don't pretend to know what combination of factors might be involved in your case but I wish you all the best in your search for them.

Joe
