The ideal temp for silver making is 72 degrees, from my experience. I've ended up with that amber color if I didn't pay close enough attention and it cooked for a while at 75-76 degrees. And no, I'm pretty sure the particle size would be the same, just more oxidized. Not harmful, but no better either. Just more colorful, and as I recalled tasted more metallic.
