The way I experience candida die off is through post-nasal drips, lots and lots of mental fog, anxiety, fatigue, increased scalp pain, hair loss, sore throat, and muscle pain (shoulders and neck).
What has helped decrease symptoms:
-avoiding sugar/wheat/potatoes/corn/soy/dairy/tomato (It's hard to follow but I try my best),
-a variety of anti-candida supplements (i.e. chlorella, caprylic acid, grape seed extr., oregano, probiotics, etc. Research which ones you should try)
-detox teas for liver and kidney(brought mine from whole foods), unfiltered/raw ACV w/ water (Make sure to dilute!)
-vegetable/plant-based protein/nutrient drinks (They come in powder form. I use Vega one... its my attempt to try to be healthy while I battle candida; plus it helps my hair grow along with hair growth supplements and omega 3 vitamins),
-molybdenum (helps with the mental fog and helps detox the harmful candida chemicals, which in turn helps your liver)
-ashwagandha (my favorite! It is an immune booster, helps mental focus, improves mood/stress and balances adrenal glands and thyroid function)
I've been doing these on and off for the past 2 yrs, this has helped to some degree. I was able to finally grow my hair past my chin and its now shoulder length. Hair still falls, but not nearly as much as it did before. Adding the ashwagandha this month made a big difference in my anxiety and brain fog. I also feel like it helped me feel healthier and less affected by candida. Things are still new, so hopefully the hair loss and scalp pain ends soon.
This is my personal experience.... hopefully that helps.
