Hello. Sorry that you have bad acne. I had pretty bad Acne till age 27, and I finally took Accutane to get rid of my acne. As a board certified dermatologist in California, I recommend a combination of oral and topical Antibiotic lotions. There are a lot of options. If the Acne is mainly along the jawline and she breaks out during her periods, then there is a medication called spironolactone, it controls adult hormonal acne. I have over 2 thousand patients on it and it works really well. If not, a trio combo of topical clindamycin (also called Duac), a topical Retin-A cream at night and an oral Antibiotic called Doxycyclin typically helps a lot in controlling the acne. All of these are prescription medication, so you have to see a Dermatologist to get a prescribed to you.
