I used warm water. The berries are a bit dried out and chewy. I had no instructions to do that, but I reasoned it would take less time, and possibly bring more taste, and whatever goodies that helped with floaters out  of the berry.

As with anything that you would do with water for health I suggest distilled water. First you don't want the chlorine, flouride, and other nasties in the berry/juice you are eating and drinking for your eyes. Also distilled water is known to pull into it whatever is in it's environment.

If it works for you, post about it for others with floaters.
