I had mine for 2 and 1/2 years, just the last year started experience severe pelvic and back pain! To the point I had to take muscle relaxers & strong pain medicine. I left it in for so long because everyone says "you just have to wait for your body to get used to it" but it only worsened over the year. I finally got it taken out 1 week ago & have never felt better! My pain went from a constant 8-9 to a 2 as soon as I had it removed. So listen to your body, if it is hindering you from living a healthy, active life then there is no sense in waiting!
