Because you need good bacteria to keep away bad bacteria or at least keep it in check. Bad bacteria causes odours, I'm not sure about good bacteria but I know without it we would smell so much worse. Antibiotics are supposed to kill the bad but they haven't designed any to leave the good bacteria alone which is the one our body need. Basically we haven't got that far in research in Antibiotics .
