Hello there. I'm so sorry to hear about your problem. I know exactly how you feel because Ive got it too. There are a few differences: I'm a woman, 30, but I've heard the same comments, had the same feelings. I can smell myself too, but not always. My dad has a strange smell, though more like sharp and musky and his home office smells like urine.
It's s tough place to be in, I know it. I know how hopeless and embarrassed and helpless it can make you feel. It hurts to hear, especially when you take all the normal steps to be hygenic and clean. I feel like people think I'm a dirty person who dosent take care of herself. It interferes with things I never could have imagined.
I am here to tell you though, there are things you can do to control it. If it's genetic, then there is only so much you can do to "cure" it. I am sure you will research your stink extensively and come to all sorts of conclusions as to what's causing this. Be careful with this. It is important you see a doctor before you diagnose yourself. Don't assume anything about your health or body. The blood in your stool is concerning and I would see a specialist about that. Tell every doc you visit about your smell. Even if they don't believe you, insist it is not in your head. Get tested for candida yeast overgrowth, leaky gut, TMAU, digestive function, immune function and liver and kidney function. Be prepared to be scoffed at and told nothing is wrong with you, but get tested anyway. If you can afford it, find a reputable naturopath and seek out natural treatments to cleanse and heal your body from the physical and psychological damage of believing you stink. This mindset we have can cause havoc and you HAVE to get the negative emotions under control, otherwise they will lead to much worse things down the road.
There is hope for control and some change though! Your body is different from mine and what works for some won't work for others. For example, my stink triggers are food: dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugars of any kind, fried foods, processed foods, meat and nuts. Emotional: stress, anxiety and being around people who I think are reacting to me. Other: exercising, smoking weed.
Unfortunately, what we suffer with is considered very rare in the medical community. B.O. Is still largely associated with poor hygiene. Most docs told me they couldn't smell anything and promptly prescribed an anti depressant. My friends won't confirm that I smell, neither will my family or counselor. If you can find a job working from home, do it. If you can take your college classes online, do it. I don't want you to shut yourself off from society, but understand your emotional health (which will manifest itself with physical symptoms eventually) will not suffer so severely as mine has if you take steps to avoid being around people in closed environments for long periods of time.
Find a healthy Diet that works for your body. I eat meats and stink, that may not be the case for you. Rubbing raw Apple cider vinegar on my pits before showering and lemon slices on them after showering helps control my b.o. I use a homemade coconut oil/essential oil deodorant. Baking soda make work for you, but it just makes me smell like cat pee. Body chemistry, hormones, gut health, emotional health.. There are so many factors. Research, detox your diet,b follow up with doctors, treat your body with natural treatments when you can, and learn to lean on someone greater then you and I. He will sustain you when you feel like ending it. Be hopeful of change, but remember that this will make you stronger, more sensitive to seeing people for who they are and not what's just on the outside. Peace be upon you and prayers for your trial. It is only temporary-- for it too, one day, shall pass.
