I've been doing this to help me with my flu and cough:

Breathe aromatic steam: Fill the bathroom or kitchen sink with steamy water. Drape a towel over your head and lean over the steam. You can add things to the water -- 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh ginger, a teaspoon of the over-the-counter (OTC) menthol ointment, or a few drops of eucalyptus oil.
But i am looking also for an aroma diffuser possibly below $100 .. it can actually relieve my flu and coughing specially at night, i just need to put an essential oil.I saw one serene ion138 but i have to check the shipping fee.
I have flu often, i am prone to allergies and cough due to dust and other allergens.
