E: This seems to be a trust issue with you... both towards this friend and also you have to distrust a great many followers of Lord Jesus who have a mountain of testimonies to deny that gift of healing is real for today. You have to believe that a good many videos are faked of healings happening right before your eyes, that a good many people have lied about their miracle testimonies, etc. You also have to believe that i personally am making up many hundreds of false testimonies of what the Lord has done instantly when i have prayed for hundreds of people... based upon their testimonies. I would say that you have an over-developed sense of mistrust and also that your belief about gift of healing for today seems to have been preconceived and you have continually refused to weigh all of the evidence apart from extreme bias and believe what it points to. Lord Jesus was unable to perform many miracles in a certain region and He was astounded by the unbelief of the inhabitants. I don't know how this happened, but I believe your heart has become extremely hard in this way and that you have developed a very strong case of unbelief just like that which Lord Jesus was astounded by. Frankly, i too am astounded :). It's never too late to seek Him about it though with a soft and open heart and to humbly change from your extraordinarily, rigid mindset once the truth that has been right before your very eyes all along is revealed to you and you are finally able to see it :).

V: Yes, I have a trust issue with my husband's friend and what he is reporting is happening. And yes I have a trust issue with anyone that says they have the gift of healing and what they report because as I have stated, I don't believe God gives the gift of healing anymore and so I have no reason to trust this stuff. People are amazingly delusioned by all of this, that's for sure. And people are amazing actors. They get their help from the devil who is pretty good himself with delusions and portraying himself as the angel of light.


E: This one lady getting healed, would this genuinely over-ride your profound and extreme unbelief in all of the other thousands and millions of testimonies? Would you then come into this forum repentant of your past unbelief and declare that gift of healing is real for today?...

V: Well not really. I firmly believe what I believe as I believe this is what the Lord has shown me through scripture and my own eyes of what this stuff is all about. God very well could just heal my friend's wife despite the deception they have fallen into. So really it wouldn't prove anything but until this happens, I will continue to think he is silly to keep telling us about all these people he is healing while his wife remains ill herself!

E... by the way, i make no guarantees because they are not mine to make, and i do openly acknowledge that the gift of healing i have been given has not been 100% effective any more than was Paul's or the disciples in the gospel account who were unable to heal the one kid, but i would be very happy to pray over the phone with this lady if you were able to arrange it. We already know it's a challenging case since she has not been healed through her husband's prayers, but i do have faith that something miraculous could potentially happen :).

V: I'll tell my husband this and see if he will mention it to his friend. But I have a feeling he will say his wife is already healed even though she is clearly not. I see this so much too amongst all the healer people and those that believe them, a denial of reality that people are still sick!
