A simple answer to this is that your head is not getting a good blood flow. The external AIDS do not work or have anything to do with your headache.

There are many reasons one could have regular headaches.

Bad posture
Alcohol
food allergies
nitrates in meats
Stress
Blockage in blood vessels
Dehydration
Diet

Till you find the real cause, you may try deep abdominal breathing, take turmeric before bed time (one teaspoon with a glass of water), eat cayenne paper in raw form with your foods, Eliminate sugar, exercise - preferably yoga, and lasty meditation.
