Bladderwack (a smaller sea vegetable with pockets of floaty-material, grows in the shallows),
Dulce and several other types of kelp grow further off-shore.
Several types of seaweed can end up in a seaweed supplement.
When I went and read up on the Iodine content of kelps to try and find a good one, I found there were 4-5 types that were richest, and are generally marketed.
Also there were folk advising some careful caution. Mineral-hungry plants can get just as confused and suck up heavy metals just as badly as humans when their waters have been polluted.
