Looking back, I think that when I had candida I also had SIBO. I think both conditions were caused by no stomach acid thru use of antacids meds. Anyway, when I took the monolaurin, peppermint oil and coconut oil together I had significant die-off. In my case I experienced a lot of belching which means the supplements were doing their job. Back then I thought that the belching was due to candida alone but now I think it may also have something to do with SIBO. There was a study posted on CZ here about how peppermint oil does not adversely affect probiotic bacteria but I do think it can keep SIBO in check. I've seen it being sold as a SIBO supplement.
