I basically agree with your points 4. and 5. but would not agree on eating "anything". We should eat for overall health.
And while there is no one magic bullet, a few people have found certain things helped them.
Low level laser light therapy looks quite interesting. It's expensive and long-winded to have done on you. There are devices one can buy to do it yourself, and people who have treatment are also encouraged to buy the gadgets they can use at home to extend the treatment.
Some people appear to have been helped by it.
At the other end of the scale, I've seen a couple of people on another T forum who seemed to cure themselves eventually by dealing with what turned out to be inflammation in the Eustachian tube. It took a lot of time and patience, and used things like supplements and some drugs and neti-pot-type rinses. So sometimes there is a relatively simple physical reason for it and a possible solution.
With a few people, just removing ear wax does it.
So I don't totally agree it's just a question of managing the symptoms. It's true you can usually habituate yourself to it, and most of the time I don't notice it.
But after an ear infection earlier this year, my long-standing low level T became noticeably worse, and it seemed pretty obvious this was related to the infection. It has settled down somewhat since, but I believe it is generally worse than it was before the infection.
Maybe there is still a low-level infection lurking, and I suspect my Eustachian tubes are at least partly blocked. And my hearing loss is worse than it was (although it has recovered somewhat).
So there can be genuine physical causes or factors at work, and it's definitely not all in the mind.
