I think someone else might have written a post about his lips improving in ocean water whiel he was on vacation. I forgot what I wrote back then. In general, saline water has improved people's EC, but not drastically improved it. It may not have as much salt in it as ocean water or it could be the other minerals in the ocean water which helps it further.

"Ocean water has a high salinity, which is the amount of salt dissolved in water. Besides the high concentration of sodium chloride, ocean water also contains chemicals, such as magnesium, sulfate, calcium, and potassium, as well as dissolved gases, including nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide."
