Hey Anca,
I currently live in Nova Scotia, Canada.
I have choosen Medrol because of its half life, which is longer then the cortisone and easier to dose. I have tried upwords of 1000mg of adrenal cortex both the hormone depleted and the one with the active hormones. Both worked amazing at first then made me crash.
I am a believer in Cipralex for adrenal fatigue (altough for me it didnt repair my adrenals)
Cipralex raises serotonin and thus lowers epinephrine (adrenaline) which technically would put less stress on the adrenal glands, helping them recover. Plus it lowers you dopamine, in which the receptors of dopamine get more sensetive and you will feel the dopamine better once you stop the cipralex. dopamine = feeling of wellbeing and pleasure.
I want to stress that cortisol replacement is something to be very carefull with. Considering it can completely shut the natural production of and can even shrink the adrenals.
Start very slow and steady and get of it very slow and steady. I would go no furter then 5mg Medrol which = 25mg cortisol.
It does eleveate energy and motivation, and can reduce stress (even though its a stress hormone)
My thought here is that, if you have low cortisol your body would over produce nor-epinephrine in the brain to compensate which makes you feel anxious.
Let me know how it works out!
