Yes, you cannot have three bites, or even one bite, of anything on the MC. Once you take a bite of anything, you're no longer doing the Master-Cleanse but just your own low-calorie diet. Plus, it is a big mistake to take a bite of anything since you're starting up the old digestive system and the appetite. During my first MC, I had such an urge to chew that I did chew some cardboard, but I certainly don't recommend that!
