There is a delicate phase in the transformation of linoleic acid (LA) to GLA and DHLA (dihomo...) and desaturase delta 6 plays a capital role in this transformation, of course helped by Zinc, vit. B3, B6 and Magnesium if these cofactors are missing all is blocked and you get pro inflammatory prostaglandines.
