I am most probably completely cured. I have a range of other health issues, and I’m working on improving those. On days when the other health issues are at their least intrusive, I am exactly like my old self, as I was before my brain injury.
Other things that have helped cure my TBI:
CRANIAL OSTEOPATHY
I see an osteopath who does "cranial work". I was going to have some Cranio-Sacral treatments, then I found out that Cranio-Sacral comprises only a few components of the more comprehensive Cranial Osteopathy training.
Osteopaths can study “cranial work” as a post-graduate specialty.
The osteopath I see treats children and babies, as well as adults. She is a lovely person.
A few years ago, I read some writing by a guy who cured himself of Parkinson’s Disease. He said that of the practitioners he saw (for Bowen Therapy, I think, and other therapies) those practitioners who really cared about him and wanted him to get well, were the ones whose treatments were more effective.
So I chose the Osteopath because she seemed gentle and compassionate and she loves working with small children and babies.
The treatment involves lying on my back, fully clothed, on the treatment table. The osteopath does tiny movements with her fingers and hands. Almost imperceptible movements, on the back of my head, my neck, my spine.
After the first treatment, I was very relaxed and felt completely different. It was as if my body was no longer a collection of injured, hurting parts. It was a harmonious whole. It was like a choir singing. It felt like all parts of my body were calling out ‘hello’ to the other parts, and reestablishing contact. An incredible feeling.
After three, fortnightly cranial osteopathy treatments, I was able to double the amount and duration of physio I was doing. This was a phenomenal thing, at that time (c. 2011).
The effects wear off after a few weeks, or sometimes a few days, if I’m not doing regular, light physiotherapy. The physiotherapy keeps my posture and movements flowing well. Without it, I tend to become, basically, unfit.
I can afford only a few treatments each year. It is money well spent. I’ve seen four osteopaths who’ve given cranial treatments. The one I keep going back to, seems to offer the most effective treatments.

OXYSHOT, SPORTS OXYSHOT
I learnt about these products by picking up a brochure in my local health shop.
The products are bottles of liquid: oxygen contained in purified water.
When I can afford to buy it, I take maybe 1 teaspoon, a few times a day. Only a small amount needed.
I drink it on its own, or mix it in a little water. I don’t mix it with tap water. Tap water is full of chemicals and seems to make this product much less effective, or make me feel unwell.
Important to use non-metallic utensils with this product.
Important to not have too much. Too much caused me to get a headache and feel tired.
Oxyshot gives me energy; makes my brain sharper and more focussed. Increases stamina, so I can get more done, and have less fatigue.
Apparently these products were created for use by athletes. Having physical disabilities is an extreme sport, in my opinion. Anything that helps athletes gain greater endurance and sharper focus just might help someone who has a brain injury.
