I have had these recurrent boils on various parts of my torso, arms, and back for going on three years, around which time I visited a friend in the hospital. I have tried oral doxy, bactrim, colloidal silver, iodine, bleach baths, tea tree oil, topical antibiotics, phototherapy, etc. They will get better for a while but are very persistent and tend to come back. The ones that finally did heal left a scaly fibroid, the skin never returned back to normal. I haven't been able to get my derm to take me seriously. He just gives me hydrocortisone and says they are folliculitis.
