Thanks for your reply.

1) I *think* I am preparing well, but am not sure. For the last month, I cut all food to half, and ate no animal food except homemade yogurt. The rest has been vegetables, fruits, brown rice + black beans, whole oats, etc. I also did a couple of one-day 'trailer' fasts, as well as a completed 2-week psyllium+bentonite shake program (4 tsp/day), but I don't think any mucus/plaque passed. I also am eating cilantro + chlorella in the final two days, starting the fast on Monday, August 17.

2) Will lemon juice really dampen autolysis? It may be just 10 cal/day, but could reduce the risks of electrolytic imbalance (and death) plus alkalinity. I have seen conflicting information across this site about this. Is there really a good reason not to do the 1-2 tbsp of lemon juice/day?

3) What duration should it be, if a pure water fast? I have a tentative plan of 8 days. I understand that either mouth/neck hunger emerging, or the tongue no longer being coated, are generally signs to break the fast and start the refeeding process, but what else?

I think I will do another one in November (8 days, or maybe longer).

I seek autolysis more than anything else.
