Thanks! I should read more about GIT. I eat grains only occasionally, but as you and InCharge said, even eating gluten once a year can have adverse effects and gluten may be present in non-grain foods.

Going off any grain for a year is a major decision, so let me read more on this and also explore the options Archus suggested before I decide on that. I will certainly keep your advice in mind.
