Dunno if this is relevant, but i've experienced a sharp increase in salivation and other mucous-membanes acting more 'normal' since I upped my thiamine (b1) uptake. I do Lugols (iodine) as well, and had a lot of the awful dry mouth, dry-eyes stuff for about a month or two.

It's at 100mg after each meal I see the effects.
Also seems to help against insulin resistance and a bit with metabolisim (type 1 diabetes and hypothyroid)
